From Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds to the south, to Worcester and the Malverns to the west plus Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick (with the best medieval castle in Europe) all within an hour's journey.

Special Events 2017
This year offers a range programmes starting with the Campden Literature Festival from 9th - 14th May (Festival - programme to follow shortly).
Following directly afterwards will be the renowned Annual Chipping Campden Music Festival from 14th - 27th May - hosting international artists from across the world.
The full programme for the 2017 Music Festival is now available with student lunchtime concerts following later.
For something completely different, Chipping Campden offers the world famous Robert Dover's Olimpick Games which will be held on 2nd June (shin-kickers pad up!), this will be followed on Saturday 3rd June by the annual Scuttlebrook Wake (this spectacle runs every year - since 1612).
Chipping Campden Open Gardens Weekend
June 17th to 18th promises to be a great weekend in the beautiful, honey-coloured Cotswolds town of Chipping Campden. There will also be teas and a plant stall. A small fee for the afternoon or for the weekend. Usually over 20 gardens open. See our What's On page for more details.
Of course there is plentiful accommodation, ranging from: hotels, delightful B&Bs, Farms and Self-Catering (holiday lets) Cottages (see lists below).
But please book early as at these times and also at weekends, Chipping Campden and the Cotswolds, with its stunning scenery and country walks is a very popular and modestly priced destination.
THE BEAUTIFUL SCENERY OF CHIPPING CAMPDEN
This year as with every year, the scenery around Chipping Campden delights visitors to this 'Jewel of the Cotswolds'. From snow scenes, with snowdrops pushing through, followed by bluebells in Springtime in the local woodland. Late spring, early summer sees the beautiful brief period of fields carpetted with poppies.
As summer develops, we look forward to those lazy summer days. There are some fine short walks around the hills surrounding Campden.
Late summmer brings fields of lavender, just a short walk or drive from Chipping Campden town centre.
Autumn sees the fields full of bales of hay and trees and fields turn towards their golden colours.
