Welcome to our beautiful town, Chipping Campden in the Cotswolds. Campden is one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in the UK. With easy road access, it is ideal for a full vacation or just a short break. The central, location in the North Cotswolds makes an ideal base for your accommodation for a touring holiday. 

Take a pictorial tour through these pages and get a taste of Olde Cotswold England - but if you really want to appreciate the feeling of staying in an old cotswold stone house in a town, hardly touched by the centuries, you'll just have to come and visit us.


Due to its central location in the north Cotswolds, Campden is also a perfect place to stay with plentiful accommodation. You can enjoy the delights not only of this charming old wool merchants' town, but also the nearby surrounding shire counties of Oxfordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire. From Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds to the south, to Worcester and the Malverns to the west plus Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick (with the best medieval castle in Europe) all within an hour's journey.

Christmas Market 2019 Events 2019

The Chipping Campden Christmas Market will be held on Saturday 7th December in the Market Square and Upper High Street where there will be market stalls selling a variety of Christmas gifts plus hot food and drinks. Inside the Town Hall there are two floors of stalls offering more Christmas gifts along with Father Christmas for the younger children from 2:30pm until 6:00pm. There you will find a full list of the attractions including Santa in his Grotto (2:30pm - 6:00pm) and the Christmas Lights Switch on at 5:00pm


Special Events 2019

This year offers a range programmes starting with the Campden Literature Festival from 7th - 11th May.


Following directly afterwards will be the renowned Annual Chipping Campden Music Festival from 11th - 25th May - hosting international artists from across the world.


The full programme for the 2019 Music Festival is now available with student lunchtime concerts following later.



For something completely different, Chipping Campden offers the world famous Robert Dover's Olimpick Games which will be held on 31st May (shin-kickers pad up!), this will be followed on Saturday 1st June by the annual Scuttlebrook Wake (this spectacle runs every year - since 1612). 


Chipping Campden Open Gardens Weekend

June 17th to 18th promises to be a great weekend in the beautiful, honey-coloured Cotswolds town of Chipping Campden.  There will also be teas and a plant stall.  A small fee for the afternoon or for the weekend.  Usually over 20 gardens open. See our What's On page for more details.


Of course there is plentiful accommodation, ranging from: hotels, delightful B&Bs, Farms and Self-Catering (holiday lets) Cottages (see lists below).


But please book early as at these times and also at weekends, Chipping Campden and the Cotswolds, with its stunning scenery and country walks is a very popular and modestly priced destination.

This year as with every year, the scenery around Chipping Campden delights visitors to this 'Jewel of the Cotswolds'. From snow scenes, with snowdrops pushing through, followed by bluebells in Springtime in the local woodland. Late spring, early summer sees the beautiful brief period of fields carpetted with poppies.

As summer develops, we look forward to those lazy summer days. There are some fine short walks around the hills surrounding Campden.


Late summmer brings fields of lavender, just a short walk or drive from Chipping Campden town centre.


Autumn sees the fields full of bales of hay and trees and fields turn towards their golden colours.
